
Microsoft introduced updated Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7 laptops that run on Intel Lunar Lake processors. They are the company’s first Copilot+ PCs based on Intel processors.
The new Surface will be available alongside available options on Snapdragonbut Intel models will be available only through Microsoft’s own commercial channels. They are intended for commercial customers and will not be available for public sale.
Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7 are available with Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7 200 processors. They will get 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of storage. NPU: Ultra 5 chips deliver 40 TOPS of AI performance, and Ultra 7 — 48 TOPS.
Externally, the Intel and Snapdragon laptops are mostly the same, but the Intel model has an anti-glare screen. Surface Laptop 7 also has a card reader, and Surface Pro 11 has NFC. In addition, the Surface Laptop 7 will receive a 5G variant for the first time later this year. Previously, only Surface Pro offered 5G. Microsoft promises to tell more about the Surface Laptop 5G in the coming months.
Intel-powered Surface is available only in platinum and black colors. Their prices differ significantly from the cost of models with SnapdragonThe business versions with Snapdragon cost from $1099, and those with Intel – from $1499. But, as noted, the average customer will not buy them.
