When to expect the iPhone SE 4? Leaked specs with launch date and prices for the «budget» Apple smartphone

Jukanlosreve insider (via gizmochina) revealed the key features of the upcoming iPhone SE 4 and the price range along with the release date.

Apple’s budget smartphone is expected to be released in March 2025. The biggest internal change to the iPhone SE 4 may be Apple’s own 5G modem under the code name «Centauri» — a solution that could potentially improve the efficiency of the device and reduce Apple’s dependence on external modem suppliers.

iPhone SE 4 may ditch LCD display in favor of 6.05-inch LTPS OLED panel with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 and a maximum brightness of 800 nits. The durability of the display can also be enhanced by the use of Ceramic Shield (the same material used in the iPhone 14).

To improve performance, Apple is likely to, will use the A18 chip (as in iPhone 16 and 16 Plus) and will equip the smartphone with 8 GB of RAM (this is basically, to support Apple Intelligence features).

As for the camera, the upgrade may be modest — an insider suggests that the iPhone SE 4 will receive48-megapixel Sony Exmor IMX904 sensor on the back and a 12-megapixel front camera.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to have dimensions of 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm and a 3279 mAh battery (for comparison, the iPhone SE 3 had a 2018 mAh battery) — a jump of more than 62%). Other potential features: Face ID, IP68 protection, support for wired (up to 20 W) and MagSafe wireless charging (up to 15 W).

And last but not least, the leak suggests that The price of the iPhone SE 4 may range from $499 to $549.
