Support for Intel Core processors of 8-10 generations in Windows 11 24H2 has not disappeared.
According to Windows Report, the news about termination of support in Windows 11 24H2 not-so-old Intel chips «was caused by a misreading and misunderstanding of official Microsoft documents». What’s more, your computer will always run Windows 11 24H2 if it meets the requirements of TMP 2.0. If not, you can even work around this.
In the help database Microsoft Learn the company does advise hardware manufacturers to use the updated list of supported processors in new Windows 11 devices:
«OEMs may use such processors for new Windows 11 devices. New Windows 11 devices must use modern device drivers that have passed the Windows Hardware Compatibility Program for Windows 11 or the latest available modern device drivers based on the Declarative, Componentized, Hardware Support Apps (DCH) design principles».
What follows is the list that caused the confusion. It does not really include many of Intel’s 8th, 9th, and 10th generation chips because Microsoft wants OEMs to use the latest chips instead of the older ones. However, the processors that didn’t make the list will still support Windows 11 24H2 and future updates to the operating system. Microsoft will almost certainly notify Windows users when support for any hardware ends.
