Programmers have proven that if a device has a screen, it can run Doom.
Now the game is running on the Nintendo Alarmo interactive alarm clock — another unusual device in the long history of porting the cult shooter.
Developer GaryOderNichts created a working version of the game in just three days after statements that Nintendo Alarmo can only show pictures of cats. «After my last post, it was obvious what everyone wanted to see on the Alarmo. So here it is — Doom on Nintendo Alarmo!» — wrote an enthusiast on his blog.

Doom on Alarm Clock has certain technical limitations. The version works without sound, and the game files need to be pre-compressed to bypass the USB bootloader’s memory limits. However, the demo version of the classic shooter can be launched via USB without any modifications to the device.
This experiment continues the glorious tradition of running Doom on the most unexpected devices. Previously, the game has been adapted for masturbators і tractors, Doom was launched even with the help of intestinal bacteria and on volumetric display as «Star Wars».
Nintendo introduced its interactive alarm clock Alarmo this month for $99. The device is currently available only to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers via My Nintendo Store. The general sale will begin in mid-January 2025.
