
GSC Game World has officially announced the completion of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. A new short trailer confirms the previously announced release date.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on November 20 for PC and Xbox. Any fixes will come after the release. Thus, the 14-year development period of the game can be considered complete.
In the cut-scenes of short gameplay episodes, you can see some locations, both above and below ground. Among them are the countryside, nuclear power plant facilities, nature, and anomalies. An interesting episode is when Skif opens a laptop, connects a cellular modem, and downloads data.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was first announced back in 2010. The following year, GSC was disbanded and resumed work in 2014. The game was announced again in 2018. It was only in 2021 that the game was first presented to the public with a release date of April 28, 2022. Then there were postponements to December 2022, late 2023, early 2024, September 5, and finally November 20.
The last one was recently released S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl gameplay trailer. In particular, he spoke about the wear and tear, repair and modification of weapons, as well as realistic ballistics. The founder of GSC Game World, Sergiy Grigorievich, says that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be released with a minimum number of bugsfor which «is no longer ashamed of». Earlier, the developers said that the game will be as perfect as possible, but they are preparing to correct mistakes in the first weeks after release. It is known that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be released without hardware tracing, official support for mods and multiplayer games — they will appear later.
