Enchanted By Nature, the latest addition to The Sims 4, has messed up something in the rest of the game. Many Sims are now marked as pregnant, even men and those who have not had sex.
This bug doesn’t affect all players, but it’s quite common and is discussed in many communities. When characters are falsely labeled as pregnant, they are oddly unable to take a pregnancy test. They also don’t grow up and can’t woo a partner, even if they’ve never done it before. And yes, it’s not just female characters of the appropriate age who get pregnant.
This has had some funny consequences, including vampires starving. They are not allowed to feed on pregnant sims, so the world around them suddenly stops being a smorgasbord. Also, the Grim Reaper, the character who takes the souls of dead sims, was allegedly spotted having… relationships with women. «I caught him with several different women when they were in every kind of relationship imaginable».
Luckily, EA is already aware of the pregnancy issue and is dealing with it. There are threads on the official forums with bug reports that flag this issue, and an announcement was posted on the official Discord that the «developers are actively researching issues related to sims getting pregnant. Players hope that the sudden population explosion will soon be patched.
As a reminder, the games There will be no The Sims 5. Instead, a movie based on the franchise is expected, which is allegedly produced by Margot Robbie. This year, the series of games celebrated its 25th anniversary, in honor of the EA reissued the first two parts.
