
After a modest start to the year, the gaming industry has prepared a powerful push in February thanks to several major releases and interesting smaller projects. This month, we can expect a remaster of the classic Lara Croft game, a new story from the creators of Life is Strange, and a video game from Obsidian Avowed. The most high-profile release of the month is the continuation of the fascinating story about the realistic European Middle Ages Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

After 7 years since the release of the first KCD, the Czech studio Warhorse invites you to plunge into the atmosphere of an authentic version of 15th century Europe in a sequel that will continue the story of the original. The main character is still the son of a blacksmith Henry from Skalice. In the midst of the civil war, he will confront Emperor Sigismund, who kidnapped his half-brother Wenceslas IV to seize the crown. As before, the game will try to realistically recreate life in the medieval Bohemia historical region in the Czech Republic, as well as the old name of the Czech state.. The size of the world has doubled and will be divided into two large regions: Bohemian Paradise and the big city of Kutna Hora (Kuttenberg).
The development of the sequel began in July 2019, after the release of story additions for the first part. At that time, the studio had 131 developers, but by the time Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, this number grew to more than 250. According to project manager Daniel Vavra, the game’s script consists of 2.2 million words. The previous record belongs to Baldur’s Gate 3 with about 2 million words.
Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator

The list of simulators of various professions will soon be expanded with a game about the work of a paramedic, a doctor who provides first aid and helps the victim during transportation to the hospital. The player will have ten medical instruments at his disposal, including a stethoscope and an oxygen mask, and the game will be played in two modes: atmospheric (complex) and traditional (simplified).
The game is being developed by Aesir Interactive, the creators of the unexpectedly popular police simulator Police Simulator: Patrol Officers.
Big Helmet Heroes

A fun cooperative adventure for two will take gamers to a fairy-tale world with knights in big helmets. The three-dimensional slasher from the French studio Exalted will offer a nice cartoonish picture and smooth animations.
As before, the seventh Civilization is based on the choice of civilization and the goal of developing it into the greatest empire in human history. The game is divided into three simplified epochs (ancient, exploratory, and modern), each with its own unique technological and cultural development trees.
The new part will offer the ability to combine leaders and civilizations, allowing you to create unique combinations, such as Caesar Augustus leading Mongol warriors. You can also change your civilization during the transition between eras, depending on the decisions you made earlier.
Russian Catherine II was added to the list of 30 leaders available in the game. Unfortunately, Ukraine is not among the list of civilizations.
Tomb Raider IV–V-VI Remastered

After the successful Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, it was only a matter of time before the release of updated versions of the next installments in the series. This collection contains parts 4-6: Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (1999), Tomb Raider: Chronicles (2000) and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness (2003).
Players will be able to enjoy all three games in both original and enhanced graphical versions, as well as receive several updates that improve the gameplay.
Avowed

The new action-RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, known for Fallout: New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity takes us to the world of Eora, where players play the role of an envoy of the Aedir Empire, investigating a mysterious plague «Solar Plague» in the Living Lands. Similar to another project of The Outer Worlds studio, Avowed offers several play areas to improve combat skills, but the real charm of this game probably lies in all the stories and adventures that await the player.
This is Obsidian’s first AAA project, the development of which began after the studio was acquired by Microsoft.
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage (Tape 1)

The new story-driven adventure from the developers of Life is Strange will tell the story of four former friends who meet 27 years later in the fictional city of Velvet Coe in Michigan. The characters will move between two timelines — 1995 and 2022.
Bloom and Rage will feature only one playable character, high school student Swann, who, together with her friends, will uncover the secrets of the summer of 1995, after which the friends swore not to speak.
The story is divided into two parts. The second one is scheduled for release on April 15.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

The next spin-off of Like a Dragon will focus on the franchise’s secondary character, Majima Gorō, who embarks on a fun pirate adventure in Hawaii. In the story, Majimi finds herself stranded on the island after unknown circumstances, having completely lost her memory.
The open-world game closely follows the original installments of the series, offering the mechanics of adrenaline and spectacular combat techniques.
PGA Tour 2K25

This year’s season of sports sims will open with the golf simulator PGA Tour 2K25. Players will be able to test their skills on the legendary PGA Tour courses alongside professionals such as Tiger Woods, Max Homa and Matt Fitzpatrick. The new EvoSwing technology will bring improved stroke physics, ball trajectories and updated animations.
Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds — is a new installment of the popular series from Capcom that promises to maintain the depth of gameplay while simplifying some aspects of the game. Players will be able to freely explore the open world, where settlements and hunting areas are combined into a single whole, which provides a more organic gameplay. A new companion is available for quick movement around the world — Seikret, a green bipedal bird-like creature that can be summoned at any time. Monsters will not stay in one location, but will move freely around the game world. To hunt monsters, players can use the changing environment to their advantage.
The lines of the character and his companions are fully voiced. Development has been underway for at least five to six years.
