The most interesting new games of July 2024

While summer is in full swing, the gaming industry offers interesting games with unusual mechanics. Fans of traditional genres will also find something to play. We will tell you about several interesting projects in our traditional selection of new releases of the month.

The First Descendant

Dungeonborne

Dungeonborne is another first-person PvPvE action game. Here, the player travels through dungeons in search of treasure. There are seven classes to choose from, including the classic Rogue, Priest, and Fighter, as well as highly specialized magic classes such as Pyromancer and Cryomancer. For fans of PvP, the developers have prepared an Arena where two teams of three players each will clash.

Once Human

Genre: Action, Adventure, Survival

Once Human has been topping the list of the most anticipated games on Steam for some time. It is a cooperative open-world action game with survival elements. Players are Metahumans who are immune to the alien virus «Stardust». The latter has infected almost all life on the planet, turning it into monsters.

The virus plays not only a narrative, but also a game-like function. Virus-infected water and food affects the player’s mind, and if Common Sense drops to a minimum, the player will receive a penalty to maximum health.

Among other things, the game offers the ability to build your own base and attack not only monsters but also other players. Each server will accommodate up to 5000 gamers at a time.

Cataclismo

The authors of Moonlighter and The Mageseeker offer to plunge into the era of cataclysmic events and build your own fortress that will be safe for life. The authors were inspired by LEGO bricks, so you will have to build block by block. After the cozy city has been arranged, it will be time to defend it from waves of monsters that are eager to dismantle our buildings brick by brick and destroy the last refuge of humanity.

Nobody Wants to Die

Dungeons of Hinterberg

A young lawyer after burning out at work travels through the Austrian Alps exploring mountain dungeons. Dungeons of Hinterberg offers the full spectrum of an explorer: battling monsters, solving puzzles, exploring locations, and even communicating with the townspeople of a small village in the mountains.

Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus

In fact, the game is somewhat more unique and belongs to the Kagura genre of strategy games inspired by Japanese motifs.
