Who said that technology has to be black and boring? For many years, Apple has been the unchallenged leader in the segment of beautiful devices, whether laptops or smartphones. But the time has come when the Cupertino-based company is facing worthy competitors. I’ve already written about the metal-ceramic coating of Asus laptops, the nice Thinkpad X1 Carbon, and now it’s the turn of the Taiwanese brand MSI.

Here’s a small photo report on the hardware solutions for enthusiasts of the dying desktop PC segment that the company showed.

Other notable features include an additional 8-pin PCIe connector for additional power for the next generation of high-power Nvidia RTX 50-series graphics cards. At their peak, their power can reach 800 watts!

Component replacement has also become easier, with no need to fiddle with screws and a screwdriver to get to the hard drive, as the top cover simply snaps off with a single flick of the hand.

MSI branded graphics cards

Together with Blizzard, MSI has released a special version of the GeForce RTX™ 4070 SUPER World of Warcraft EDITION graphics card to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the game and the release of The War Within expansion pack. The set includes 10 magnetic back panels that can be combined with each other like puzzles, thereby creating your own unique style.

The company also showed a video card with a 3D logo of the company in the form of a branded dragon!

A series of devices in the style of Monster Hunter

In honor of the 20th anniversary of the popular Monster Hunter console game series, MSI and CAPCOM have released a line of devices under the Monster Hunter brand. For fans of the series, a laptop, video card, motherboard, monitor, water cooling, desktop PC case, and gamepad are available.

Updated MSI Claw console in the style of Fallout

Powered by the new Intel® Core Ultra (Series 2) processors, with an additional Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, improved key ergonomics, and a larger battery.

Updated version with a universal UNI Bracket that fits both AMD and Intel systems. Other interesting things — fans and a radiator bracket are installed, as well as the EZ space organization system inside the case for more accurate wire management.

New generation power supply MEG Ai1600T PCIE5

The new MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 power supply from MSI features RGB backlighting and support for ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1. The power of the PSU is quite in the spirit of the times — 1600 W, and there are two 16-pin connectors (12V-2×6) to support new graphics cards. The unit has received 80 Plus Titanium certification.

The PSU comes with a set of cables with markings on which side to connect them, and the unit’s backlight and real-time statistics can be customized through the proprietary MSI Center application.

The company says in its promotional materials that the power supply is adapted for use in computing tasks with artificial intelligence, but it is not clear how this works in practice.
