Micron reveals world’s fastest PCIe 6.0 SSD with more than 27GB/s read speed
Micron and Astera Labs joined forces at DesignCon 2025 to demonstrate the world’s first PCIe 6.0 SSDs using the Astera Scorpio PCIe 6.0 network switching device. Combined with two Micron PCIe 6.0 SSDs and an Nvidia H100 GPU, the device achieved sequential read speeds of more than 27GB/s on each drive — twice the speed of the fastest PCIe…
Lenovo unveils world’s first notebook with LPCAMM2 memory — smaller size, better speed and power consumption
Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 Workstation is the first laptop in the world to receive new LPCAMM2 memory modules from Micron. The new memory format is 64% smaller than DDR5 SO-DIMMs and 58% more energy efficient than LPDDR5X memory.
Micron introduces 256 GB DDR5-8800 RAM modules
At the NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference (GTC) event, Micron demonstrated huge 256GB DDR5-8800 MCR DIMMs. These modules are designed for next-generation servers, in particular, those with Intel Xeon Scalable Granite Rapids processors. Earlier, the company announced that the new 256GB MCR DIMMs are being tested among customers.
Micron at MWC 2023 — smallest 1TB UFS 4.0 memory module for next top smartphones
Micron also distinguished itself at MWC 2024 — the leading US chipmaker announced The «smallest» UFS 4.0 flash memory module, which measures just 9×13 millimeters. The storage capacity is still up to 1 TB, and the maximum sequential read and write speeds are 4300 and 4000 MB/s, respectively.
