Daniel Craig said goodbye to the image of a special agent but can return to the heroic path.
According to Deadline, movie star «No time to die» and «Knives with a sharp edge» is in talks to play a role in the next DC movie, which will focus on Sgt. Rock, a former soldier who has been a part of DC Comics since the 1950s.
It is also possible that Luca Guadagnino will direct the film, and if the contracts are signed, the story of Rock will be another collaboration between the director and Craig (the duo worked together on «Queer»).
Although Rock was originally developed exclusively as a comic book character in a war anthology, he has also appeared several times alongside DC superheroes and even served as part of Lex Luthor’s presidential administration — perhaps the upcoming Rock movie will be a complement to Nicholas Hoult’s appearance as Luthor in future «Superman».
«Superman», formerly known as «Superman: Legacy» — is the first film in the new version of the DCU cinematic universe by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Gunn is directing from his script, which will focus on the story of the young Superman. The film will debut in theaters on July 11, 2025.
