The revival of the «Daredevil» series will soon take place. The new version of «Daredevil: Born Again» starring Charlie Cox will be released in a few months.
After the original Netflix series was canceled in 2018, fans finally waited for the return of the hero from Hell’s Kitchen. Marvel Studios announced that the new series will start on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. This is a bit later than originally promised in 2022. Back then, the series was planned for 2024. The news was announced at the New York Comic Con panel with actors Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Kingpin).
The series «Daredevil: Born Again» was announced in 2022 as an 18-episode project with some familiar characters, new faces, and a new actress in the role of Vanessa Fisk (Kingpin’s wife). Executive producer Brad Winderbaum confirmed that the series will become part of the official Marvel universe. This is important because «Daredevil» and other Marvel Television series on Netflix («Luke Cage», «Jessica Jones» and «Iron Fist») have always been kept separate from the main Marvel cinematic universe.
After the cancellation of the solo series, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil appeared periodically in other projects. The last time he appeared in Marvel’s Echo series, he was catching bricks in «Spider-Man. No Way Home». The original «Daredevil» on Netflix was very popular with critics and viewers, so its cancellation surprised many fans. However, its return seemed inevitable when the competing streaming service Disney+ was launched.
