Chatbot Grok now runs on X (formerly Twitter) and used to be available only to owners of Premium subscriptions — now it’s open to everyone registered on the social network.
What makes Grok special?
Compared to ChatGPT, Elon Musk’s chatbot responds faster to queries and has real-time access to the entire database of social network posts (remember, the OpenAI language model is based on data up to October 2023).
The chatbot can also work with code and generate images. There’s a catch with the latter, as right after the launch of the free version, users were offered the Aurora neural network capable of generating photorealistic images, but a few hours later it was switched to a version called Flux, which isn’t as keen on generating celebrities (though it’s still possible).

How to use it?
First, log into the X social network, then go to the special Grok tab, located on the left in the action menu.
The chatbot is available in Ukrainian and has a separate “funny” mode, whatever that means.

At the same time, free users are limited to 10 requests every 2 hours and 3 images per day.
Recall that last year Musk launched his own AI company xAI and at the same time introduced the chatbot (despite signing an open letter with a demand to halt the development of AI technologies for at least six months), available only with an X Premium subscription, costing $8 per month.
Currently, xAI has completed a funding round of $6 billion at a valuation of $50 billion (more expensive than Twitter at the time of acquisition). The company is now working on an autonomous app for Grok and possibly preparing to launch the next-generation Grok 3 language model.
