GALAX has come up with an easy-to-remove cooling system cover for the NVIDIA RTX 5080 and Chinese 5090D for easier cleaning. But its appearance may put some people off.
First of all, GALAX Boomstar graphics cards are white or light and do not fit into every system. Secondly, the anime-style design of the bottom part will not appeal to everyone. But the removable cooling system seems surprisingly practical.
The new design of the Boomstar is more rounded to «emphasize the more distinctive personality of». The bottom part, along with the fans, will be removable and magnetically attached. This not only allows you to clean the video card, but also to replace the casing with another one. GALAX only offers the magnetic mount for the Boomstar series.
For the RTX 50, GALAX has also created a new backlighting system with a multi-layer reflective surface that creates a multi-layered ARGB backlighting effect. There is also an aurora-like lighting behind the fans. The video cards are positioned in the niche of such series as X-Gaming by ZOTAC or TUF by ASUS. They are usually diverse and tied to the launch of certain games. However, they are currently sold only in China.
