Horror master Mike Flanagan to direct a movie about Batman’s «oldest» enemy for DC

DC Studios has given the «green light» to Mike Flanagan’s film, which will tell the story of Clayface.

Clayface is a nickname for several supervillains in the DC Comics universe. The first iteration of the character, the killer actor Basil Carlo, appeared in Detective Comics #40 in 1940.

The decision to produce the film, as noted by Varietywas driven by the success of the «Penguin» series. Filming will begin in early 2025, with «Batman» director Matt Reeves producing and Mike Flanagan, known for his horror series for Netflix — «Ghosts of Hill House», directing, «Fall of the House of Usher» and others.
