It is as high as a three-story building: Photonics unveils giant 767-inch 4K mobile LED screen

Photonics, a Belgian specialist in LED displays, has unveiled its newest creation, Jumbo162, at ISE 2025 in Barcelona. The name of the device speaks for itself: Jumbo means giant, and 162 means 161.5 square meters of screen area. This is a huge mobile display designed for use in large venues during public events, festivals and sporting events.

If we consider the screen in terms familiar to monitors, its diagonal is 767 inches. The image, which shows a person of normal height standing next to the screen, allows you to estimate its true size.

On the official product page, Photonics notes that the Jumbo162 is the successor to the Jumbo100 series. Its predecessor had a 97.5 m² screen and HD+ resolution, making it the company’s best mobile display for the past ten years. But now the Jumbo162 surpasses its predecessor in every way.

Technical specifications of Photonics Jumbo162

The new display consists of 374 InfiLED arg.9 panels and uses Infinite Colors technology to display a wider color spectrum.

The display measures 17×9.5 m (16:9 aspect ratio), has a diagonal of 767 inches and supports 4K resolution. The pixel pitch is 3.9 mm. The screen provides a refresh rate of 3840 Hz, a maximum brightness of 5000 nits, and viewing angles of 160/130 degrees vertically/horizontally. The system requires a three-phase power supply with a voltage of 400V and a current of 63A or 125A, depending on the configuration.

The weight of the world’s largest mobile LED display is 28 tons (excluding the transportation vehicle). The Jumbo162 screen is mounted on a special trailer that looks like a huge soundbar stand under the screen. This mobile platform allows the display to rotate 360 degrees, which greatly expands the possibilities of its use. At the same time, the design is wind-resistant: it can withstand gusts of up to 8 points on the Beaufort scale, making it ideal for open spaces.

Photonics emphasizes the use of Vanta Black technology, which provides an extremely deep black color. The combination of this technology with high contrast LED lamps and precision shaders should provide an impressive level of contrast. However, the company does not provide specific contrast values, which raises some questions about the actual performance.

The manufacturer does not name the price of the Jumbo162 display or the cost of its rental.
