Legendary director David Lynch passes away

At the age of 78, the brilliant director of the 20th and 21st centuries, David Lynch, has passed away. “Twin Peaks”, “Dune”, “Mulholland Drive”, “Lost Highway”, “The Elephant Man”.

Last year, Lynch revealed that he had been diagnosed with emphysema (the director had smoked all his life) and that he likely would no longer be able to leave his home to make films. His family announced his death on Facebook:

“With deep regret, we, his family, announce the death of the man and artist David Lynch. We appreciate your privacy at this time. There is now a great void in the world without him. But, as he would say: ‘look at the doughnut, not the hole’. It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies”.

Despite rumors of new films or series, after finishing the continuation of “Twin Peaks” in 2017, David Lynch only created music. The director’s legacy includes over a dozen music albums. The plot of the latest “Twin Peaks” essentially remained unfinished, although during his lifetime Lynch talked about continuing it if possible. Agent Cooper will definitely not save the lost Laura Palmer, wherever she may be. The author of this news feels an incredible sadness.
