Microsoft launched Copilot for macOS and updated versions on iPhone / iPad

That day has come — and Microsoft has finally launched a native program Copilot for macOS.

Similar to the Windows version, Copilot for Mac will provide users with access to the web-based, AI-powered version of Microsoft’s assistant and the ability to generate text or images (via DALL-E 3) with file uploads.

The program has also received a dark theme and a shortcut command to activate the assistant via Command + Space (Alt + Space on Windows).

Starting today, Copilot for Mac is available for download in the US, UK, and Canada, with other regions to follow shortly.

Important note: to run the program, you will need macOS 14.0 or later, as well as a Mac model with an M1 chip or later (in fact, as for Apple Intelligence).

The versions for iPhone or iPad also received «improvements» and offer login with an Apple ID and download of text or PDF files. Additionally, the iPad app has a split-screen mode.

As a reminder, Microsoft recently launched Copilot Voice options and Think Deeper reasoning free of charge and without restrictions.

OpenAI has launched GPT-4.5, but with limited access — because «GPUs are out»
