PC developer Billet Labs has unveiled The Boiler — a miniature steampunk-style copper and liquid-cooled computer equipped with NVIDIA RTX 4090 FE.
The company has published a video of a computer on TikTok. Cylindrical pipes, valves and fittings give it the look of Steam machine as its creator ironically calls it. But as an editorial office TechSpotand the ITC.ua editorial board noticed that it resembles a moonshine still.
Despite its compact size, the PC has powerful characteristics. It is equipped with an NVIDIA RTX 4090 Founders Edition graphics card, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, 64 GB of RAM, and a whopping 12 TB SSD. It even has a Noctua fan on top.

However, the real magic lies in the hand-soldered copper pipes connected to a pump to cool the components with liquid. Copper is prized for its superior thermal conductivity, so this custom setup should deliver wonderful cooling efficiency in this compact form factor.
When the video for TikTok was shot, the computer hadn’t been launched yet, but later the developers confirmed on Instagram that The Boiler was working properly. Billet Labs later posted an hour-long video on YouTube.
Of course, this design is not cheap. The computer is planned to be sold at a charity auction. Also, Billet Labs offers custom builds on request, like last year’s Toaster PC in a toaster and oven design ($6000 for the components alone). Billet Labs also sells brass and copper parts if anyone wants to try their hand at this kind of construction.
