MSI has listed on Amazon the specifications for the portable gaming consoles MSI Claw 8 AI+ and MSI Claw 7 AI+ with Intel Lunar Lake processors. The elder model features a larger screen and a significantly increased battery.
MSI Claw 8 AI+
The Claw 8 AI+ console will use the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor with a clock speed from 2.2 GHz to 4.8 GHz, and unofficial sources report that there will be a variant with Core Ultra 7 256V. The device will have two memory options LPDDR5X-8553: 16 GB and 32 GB, as well as 1 TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 SSD and a micro SDHC slot. The CPU choice is confirmed by the use of Arc 14V graphics with eight Xe2 cores.

The 8” touch display has a 120 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, and a resolution of 1920 x 1200. The console received an 80 Wh battery—a significant increase compared to 53 Wh. It features two Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 ports for charging and connecting devices. MSI will release Claw 8 AI+ on December 25 for $899.
MSI Claw 7 AI+
The updated MSI Claw 7 AI+ will also get the Core Ultra 7-258V with up to 32 GB of RAM, but only 512 GB SSD, a 7” display with 1080p resolution, and a 53 Wh battery. Its delivery will start on December 1. The console is just $100 cheaper than the elder model with significantly better specifications.

It was previously expected that MSI Claw 8 AI+ would launch in early 2025 without a specific date, but now it is known that delivery will start a few days before CES 2025. It is logical to soon expect new offerings from other manufacturers of portable consoles.
