NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti will get 16 GB of GDDR7, RTX 5060 «stuck with 8 GB, — insiders

New deets on NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 reveal one but crucial difference between them—the amount of built-in memory.

According to the site Wccftech, RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti will have the same reference board named PG152. It’s very likely that they will both sport the GB206 GPU, but the number of CUDA cores in both cases is still not confirmed.

Unfortunately, the 16 GB of GDDR7 memory in NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti won’t mean a wider bus. RTX 5060 will have 8 GB of GDDR7 memory, but the same 128-bit bus. However, thanks to GDDR7, its bandwidth will increase by 65% compared to RTX 4060 and reach 448 GB/s.

So far, no details are known about CUDA specifications, new technologies, TDP, or even PCIe bandwidth—but it’s very likely to be PCIe 5.0. The new generation might also see a significant increase in clock speed.

According to other rumors, NVIDIA might opt for a 96-bit memory bus for the younger of the 5060s and bump up the VRAM to 10 GB. With such limitations, it’s high time for Intel Arc B580 with 12 GB GDDR6 and a 192-bit bus to step into the arena. It’s also reported that the younger AMD Radeon RX 8000 models will also have 8 GB of memory.
