Insider Kopite7kimi, who has lately been spilling a lot about the NVIDIA RTX 50xx, claims they feature the DLSS 4 technology.
Images have surfaced online of a store’s website listing an ASUS RTX 5080 priced at €1700, noting the inclusion of DLSS 4, which NVIDIA might use to push the RTX 50xx series. The insider confirmed that this information is accurate.

Previously, there was speculation that NVIDIA might showcase some new technology from one of its partners. Manufacturer Inno3D mentioned “artificial intelligence features” to be presented at CES 2025, without specifics. However, the company did mention the “advanced DLSS technology.” What’s more tantalizing is the mention of “neural rendering capabilities.” Inno3D believes these will “revolutionize the process of processing and rendering graphics.” Perhaps, this will be a hallmark of DLSS 4.
It’s likely that DLSS 4 will be partially supported on previous NVIDIA video cards, but not all features of this suite will work on them. Similar scenarios occurred previously with technologies related to scaling and frame addition, distributed between generations.
