Owners of the brand new Samsung Galaxy S25 complain about a camera malfunction that adds white and dark lines to the image — most of the problems occur with pictures taken in low light in night mode.
Based on messages in social networks (through Phonearena), the failure affected all models in the series.
«I recently purchased a basic model of the Samsung Galaxy S25 and noticed that a thick line appears in some photos that seems to have a different color, it appears quite often and I don’t know if it’s a software or hardware problem? — writes one of the users on Reddit.
Problems with the camera, confirmed by the authors Tom’s Guidewho tested the 200-megapixel camera Galaxy S25 Ultra during an astrophotography session and eventually found the same lines in the images. At the same time, the review noted that changing the shutter speed of the camera could fix the situation, and one Reddit user also advised to set the photo post-processing to medium, although this did not seem to work in all cases.
Samsung has recognized the problem and promised to fix it with the next update (recall that the first Galaxy S25 update was released yesterday).
«We are aware of a limited number of cases where images appear blurry when shooting in night mode on Galaxy S25 Ultra, and we will be releasing a fix».
