Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup has passed FCC certification: what do we know about the upcoming flagship smartphones?

Samsung is preparing to launch a new line of flagship Galaxy S25 smartphones. The company has already received all the necessary certificates from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models. Thanks to this, we have the opportunity to learn some of the characteristics of these devices.

What we know about the Galaxy S25 series

It is known that there will be three Galaxy S25 models. Thanks to the FCC documentation, we have learned their model numbers:

  • Samsung Galaxy S25: SM-931U
  • Samsung Galaxy S25+: SM-936U
  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: SM-938U

All three devices support 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS and NFC. The Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra will also support ultra-wideband (UWB), which will not be available in the base Galaxy S25 model.

The certification also shows that the Galaxy S25 will remain with a 25W charging adapter, just like the Galaxy S24. At the same time, the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature 45W wired fast charging with the EP-T2510 adapter. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will come with the S-Pen stylus created by Wacom.

As for the base model Galaxy S25, its wireless charging capabilities have been downgraded to 9W compared to the 15W of the Galaxy S24, which is a surprising slowdown. The Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra are likely to have significantly faster wireless charging, although the FCC certification does not mention this.

Other rumors about Galaxy 25

In addition, it is reported that the new Galaxy 25 series will have flat screens, thin bezels, and a design with rounded corners reminiscent of the Pixel. There is also information about a new gaming mode from Samsung that will optimize system resources to improve performance during the game. A similar mode can be found in Redmagic and ROG gaming phones.

The presentation of this series is likely to take place in January.
