«Stranger Things» is coming: Netflix has revealed the release date of the fifth season — and it’s a bit earlier than expected

Netflix has unveiled a new teaser for Stranger Things, and with it, the release date of the fifth season.

Although the teaser doesn’t show any footage from the upcoming season, it hints at the number of episodes (eight, like all previous seasons except the fourth) and reveals their titles:

  • The Crawl
  • The Vanishing of…
  • The Turnbow Trap
  • Sorcerer
  • Shock Jock
  • Escape from Camazotz
  • The Bridge
  • The Rightside Up

You may notice that a word has been deleted from the title of the second episode — likely, Netflix didn’t want to give us any spoilers, or maybe the creators haven’t thought of it yet.

Also, at the end of the teaser, we are told that the fifth season of «Stranger Things» will debut in 2025 — this is the first time Netflix has disclosed at least some timeframe (previously, the network assumed that the last season would be released in 2026).

The description to the video also says that «the last adventure begins in the fall of 1987» — perhaps this is a hint to the specific time of year of the premiere? At the same time, the previous seasons were released in summer or fall. And here is a small clarification: this also means that the fifth and final season of the series will take place a year after the events of the fourth season finale — there are still questions about how the adult cast will be played.

It is worth noting that the new teaser was released on Stranger Things Day, which Netflix celebrates every year on November 6, as the day coinciding with the disappearance of Will Byers, which marked the beginning of the series. As the showrunners, the Duffer brothers, previously noted, Will will be a big part and even the center of the plot of the last season of».

«There will be no disappointment»: the creators of the series «Stranger Things» promise not to repeat the mistake of «Game of Thrones» in the finale
