The public organization “Wikimedia Ukraine” published a ranking of Wikipedia articles that were of most interest to Ukrainians in 2024.
The undisputed leader in views is Oleksandr Syrskyi (over 1.1 million views), and for the first time in a decade and a half, an article about a contemporary took the first place in terms of visits. In second place is an article about Ukraine, which received over 1 million views, and third place went to the Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, whose article was viewed over 730 thousand times. Also, an article about TSK and SP made it into the TOP-10.

Among contemporaries, articles about Iryna Farion, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, singer Klavdia Petrivna, and Ukrainian writer Lina Kostenko were also popular, while among historical figures, articles about Taras Shevchenko, Lesya Ukrainka, and Stepan Bandera topped the ranking for the third consecutive year.

Ukrainians were also interested in historical topics: the Volhynia Massacre, World War II, World War I, and Kievan Rus, while among articles about films and series, the most popular were “20 Days in Mariupol”, “Mavka. The Forest Song”, “Konotop Witch”, and “Catching Kaidash” (among foreign ones — “Harry Potter”, “Bridgerton”, and “Game of Thrones”).

Among geographical objects, articles about Ukraine, Russia, and Great Britain stood out. Interestingly, the article about Sudzha gathered over 320 thousand views, which is several dozen times more than its population.
A separate ranking was highlighted for websites that occupied high places in the ranking — probably because certain types of devices or providers automatically opened the Wikipedia site description.
