
The DOU website has conducted a salary survey of 2622 Ukrainian IT professionals currently working abroad. The full report is available at linkWe will briefly summarize the main indicators.
Among the top countries chosen by Ukrainian IT professionals are Poland (39%) and Spain (10%), which this year has pushed Germany down from second place. In general, 92% of the surveyed specialists work in Europe, and another 3% — in the United States and Canada.


Developers make up 43% of all those who moved, testers — 17%.



However, more experienced professionals moved abroad more often, while juniors and interns account for only 8%.


More than half of the specialists still work through a Ukrainian sole proprietorship, gig contract, or are employed by a company in Ukraine. Only 36% are registered in their country of residence, while another 5% work without registration.
The highest median «net» salary is expected for those who moved to the US — $7500 per month, while in Europe — $3500 (in Ukraine $2500).
The largest difference in salaries is shown by specialists with 3-5 years of experience with +34%. The median salaries of experienced developers with 5+ years of experience in Europe are on average 8% higher than in Ukraine: the highest in Spain ($5250) and Croatia ($5225), the lowest in Bulgaria ($4000) and Germany ($4500).
