A well-known insider has named some of the characteristics of the NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti. Other sources have revealed the schedule for the launch of Blackwell’s older graphics cards.
Informant Kopite7kimi states, that NVIDIA is already working on GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. According to unofficial sources, the video card will have 8960 CUDA cores, which means 70 streaming multiprocessors and the likely use of the GB203 GPU chip. The NVIDIA 5070 Ti is internally named PG147 and SKU 60. This means the same board design as the RTX 5080 and again confirms the use of the GB203 GPU, probably a stripped-down version.
We also know that the 5070 Ti is rated at 300W, which is supposedly 50W more than the RTX 5070 and 100W less than the RTX 5080. But it is unclear whether this is the maximum (TGP) or thermal design power (TDP).
However, NVIDIA has a history of changing specifications before release, as was the case with the RTX 4080 12GB, later renamed the RTX 4070 Ti. Therefore, it is not even known which models will be announced at CES 2025. Source Benchlife has published possible release dates for RTX 50 graphics cards:
- GeForce RTX 5090 – Q1 2025
- GeForce RTX 5090 D – Q1 2025
- GeForce RTX 5080 – Q1 2025
- GeForce RTX 5070 Ti – Q1 2025
- GeForce RTX 5070 – Q1 2025
- GeForce RTX 5060 Ti – to be specified
- GeForce RTX 5060 – to be specified
There are some interesting details in this list. There is no RTX 5080D for the Chinese market. It seems that such a model is at least not expected in the first or second quarters of next year.
NVIDIA RTX 5060 has no release date. According to rumors, the RTX 5070 may appear in February, and the RTX 5060 – by March 2025. Information from NVIDIA partners indicates that the company has not yet distributed RTX 5060 graphics cards for desktops. Benchlife expects RTX 5060 to be released by April.
As for the RTX 5070 Ti, Benchlife claims 8960 CUDA cores and 300 watts of TGP. The site adds that it will get 16 GB of storage GDDR7 memory. The RTX 5070 graphics card will feature a GB205 GPU with 6400 CUDA cores and a TDP of 250W. The model will have 12 GB of GDDR7 memory.
