
Xiaomi continues the practice of releasing «new» smartphones by renaming existing models. So, this time the company introduced Poco M7, which is actually a rebranded Redmi 14C with minor differences in characteristics.
The Poco M7 comes with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset that supports 5G connectivity in the budget segment. The processor is complemented by 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphone has a microSD slot for expanding storage with a memory card up to 1 TB.

The display in this model is a 6.88-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Xiaomi has certified the panel by TUV Rheinland for low blue light and no flicker.
Although the rear panel shows a rather large round camera island with four seats, the Poco M7’s camera is actually dual. It has a main 50-megapixel module and a second module that is still unknown. The front camera is 8-megapixel.
The smartphone offers a 5160 mAh battery, 18W charging support, a 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. The manufacturer claims a marketing volume of 150%. Dust and splash protection is also reported. Software — HyperOS on top of Android 14. The manufacturer promises to release security updates for 4 years.
Poco M7 5G is available in black, green, or blue colors. The smartphone has already gone on sale in India for $115 and $126 for the 6+128 GB and 8+128 GB memory versions, respectively.
