
Xpeng has unveiled its new electric car, the Xpeng P7+. The manufacturer claims that this is its first car with a new generation of autonomous driving platform.
The Xpeng P7+ is a family liftback that is based on the brand’s latest Robo Face design language. Its front end has an X-shaped styling with an LED running light strip and headlights integrated into the front bumper. At the rear is a single set of taillights. On the side, it has hidden door handles and a sloping roofline. The car is available in five colors: silver, white, black, purple, and beige. The Xpeng P7+ has dimensions of 5056x1937x1512 mm and a wheelbase of 3000 mm. The car runs on 235/60 R18 or 255/45 R20 tires.
The new car is equipped with the new generation Eagle Eye Vision AI autonomous driving system. The main improvements compared to the previous AD system are perception and speed of recognition. According to Xpeng, the perception distance of the Eagle Eye system has increased by 125%. Recognition speed increased by 40%. The automaker has improved the efficiency of P7+ in night and difficult weather conditions.
The base version of the Xpeng P7+ has a 180 kW (241 hp) electric motor. A 230 kW (308 hp) version is also available. There are two LFP battery options for customers to choose from: 60.7 kWh with an autonomy of 620 km (CLTC) and 76.3 kWh with a range of 710 km (CLTC). Energy consumption is 11 kWh/100 km.
The center console of the Xpeng P7+ offers a 15.6-inch main screen of the infotainment system based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip. The car has a two-spoke steering wheel with a gearshift mounted behind it. The center tunnel contains two cup holders and two 50W wireless charging panels. The Xpeng P7+’s second-row seats are electrically adjustable, ventilated, and massaged (except for the middle one). There is a separate 8-inch screen for rear passengers. The right rear passenger also has a folding table.
The international premiere of the Xpeng P7+ will take place at the Paris Motor Show on October 14. Sales will begin by the end of this year
