While previous trailers for “Snow White” rack up record dislike counts on YouTube, Disney keeps on dropping new clips.
The latest video features Rachel Zegler belting out “Waiting On A Wish” — another nod to the classic 1937 animation, recreated by composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land”, “The Greatest Showman”).
“Snow White” starring Rachel Zegler is a fresh “live-action” take on the classic Disney story, directed by Marc Webb (“The Amazing Spider-Man”) and has been heavily criticized by viewers even before its official premiere. So far, the first trailer has amassed 1.4 million dislikes on YouTube while the second is still on its way to a million currently standing at 825 thousand dislikes compared to 33 thousand likes.

Primarily, viewers criticize the casting choice for the lead role (including her controversial remarks), and using animated dwarfs instead of real actors. Meanwhile, many fans have praised Gal Gadot’s casting as the Evil Queen, although noting that she overshadows her stepdaughter significantly.
Interesting fact: Disney has already conducted two rounds of reshoots (the latest this summer in London), and insiders report that the remake’s budget is approaching $350 million.
Zegler is known for her role in Steven Spielberg’s musical “West Side Story” and last year’s “Hunger Games” prequel, while Gadot is remembered for her role as Wonder Woman. The cast also includes Andrew Burnap, Martin Klebba, and Ansu Kabia.
“Snow White” will premiere in Ukrainian cinemas on March 20, 2025.
