AI tokens soar after Stargate project announcement

President of the USA Donald Trump announced a $500 billion investment from the private sector in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in the USA. As part of this project, companies OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle will create a joint venture named Stargate.

The Stargate plan provides that within the next four years, the construction of 10 data centers in Texas will be completed. Then, the project will expand to other states. This will create over 100 thousand new jobs in the near future.

Immediately following this announcement, the token market in the AI and big data sector showed significant growth:

  • AI16Z and AI Rig Complex (ARC) increased by 30% in one day.
  • Tokens GRIFFAIN and ZEREBRO doubled in price.
  • MetamonkeyAi (MMAI) showed an increase of 152.25%.
  • FLock.io (FLOCK) — by 57%.

Experts explain this as a positive reaction to Trump’s announcement as well as the cancellation by the new administration of Joe Biden’s executive order of 2023, which was aimed at regulating AI risks.

“If bitcoin maintains above $100 thousand, this sector will become the new center of monetary interest,” — stated Will Clemente, founder of Reflexivity Research.

Cryptotrader Pepper also called AI tokens the fastest “horse” entering, presumably, the most manic part of this cycle.

However, overall the market is in a mode of anticipation of the first crypto-oriented actions of the Trump administration. It is expected that the cancellation of policy SAB 121 and amnesty for the founder of Silk Road Ross Ulbricht may be among the first executive orders that will cause significant volatility.

Amidst the optimism regarding AI and memecoins, cryptoanalysts K33 Research noted the likelihood of a short-term correction due to a “very busy memecoin weekend”
