Chinese automaker Changan has announced that the Qiyuan E07 will go on sale on October 21. It will enter international markets under the name Nevo E07.
The Changan Nevo E07 is based on the Changan SDA architecture. It combines design elements of an SUV and a pickup truck. The novelty is available in a purely electric version and a version with an extended range. The car has a closed front grille, C-shaped LED headlights and taillights connected by a common light bar. Its dimensions are 5045 mm in length, 1996 mm in width, and height ranges from 1640 to 1695 mm, depending on the variant. The wheelbase is 3120 mm. The manufacturer offers 20- and 21-inch wheels for this model.
The interior of the Nevo E07 takes a minimalist approach, ditching the traditional dashboard in favor of a huge 28.86-inch AR-HUD (augmented reality projection display) and a 15.4-inch central control screen. Other features include a retractable trunk door that allows the vehicle to switch between an SUV and a pickup truck with a 300 kg payload.
The EREV version is equipped with a 231 kW (310 hp) rear electric motor and is complemented by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine designed to extend the range. An all-wheel drive version is also available with an additional 131 kW (176 hp) front engine, giving the vehicle a total power output of 362 kW. The battery capacity is 39.05 kWh, which provides a range of 200 km for the single-engine version and 185 km for the dual-engine version.
The Changan Nevo E07 electric car is equipped with more powerful engines: 252 kW for a single engine configuration and an additional front engine with a capacity of 188 kW in an all-wheel drive configuration. Depending on the model, the vehicle’s range varies from 551 km to 1000 km. The vehicle is equipped with a high-voltage 800 V charging system that can increase the range by 365 km in just 15 minutes of charging.
Advanced driver assistance systems come as standard. Moreover, the E07 includes 2 lidars, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars and 11 cameras. Data from all these sensors is processed by a system based on the NVIDIA Orin-X chip. The car supports Level 2+ autonomous driving capabilities. The car also integrates satellite communication technology.
