ZTE has unveiled the flagship Nubia Z70 Ultra, which will soon be released on the global market. It is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite, an in-screen camera and a recognizable corporate design.
The Z70 Ultra display has increased its diagonal to 6.85″ and resolution to 1216 x 2688. It has a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a maximum brightness of 2000 nits. The thickness of the screen bezel is only 1.25 mm, which is currently the thinnest bezel on the market. The AMOLED panel manufactured by BOE has an optical fingerprint scanner under the display and an advanced 16 MP front camera hidden under the 430 PPI display.
Nubia’s flagship has a 50 MP main camera with 35 mm optics and a Sony IMX906 sensor. It has a lens with a variable aperture (from f/1.59 to f/4.0). There is also a 70 mm equivalent to 64 MP (f/2.48) periscopic module (OV64B) with 2.7x optical zoom and a 13 mm equivalent to 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens (OV50D) with autofocus and a viewing angle of 122 degrees. The smartphone has a separate physical camera button: half-pressing it helps to focus, and full pressing it takes a picture.
The Z70 Ultra is powered by Nebula AIOS based on Android 15 with AI features. The phone is IP69 protected and has a 6150 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W fast charging.
Nubia Z70 Ultra will come in Black, Amber and limited edition Starry Night Blue colors inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s painting «Starry Night».
The base version of the phone with 12GB / 256GB of storage costs ~$635, the 24GB / 1TB version is priced at ~$870. Also available are 16GB/512GB (~$690) and 16GB/1TB (~$773) configurations. Pre-orders for the Nubia Z70 Ultra have already begun, with sales starting on November 25. Outside of China, the smartphone will be released on November 26.
