The Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone, which was introduced in January of this year, had 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage in the basic version. This is not enough for a flagship device, compared to most of its competitors, who have gone to 12 GB and 256 GB, respectively, or even more. With the next Galaxy S25, Samsung intends to improve the situation.
According to knowledgeable sources, the Samsung Galaxy S25 will have 12 GB of RAM in its base version, as well as 256 GB of storage. The increase in RAM was already confirmed last month through a performance test. According to previous rumors, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have 16GB of RAM for all its versions, so that’s definitely a plus.
Of course, these are still rumors that should be taken with a certain amount of skepticism. But in any case, it’s definitely time for Samsung to improve the RAM and internal storage performance of its flagship smartphones to at least match what its Chinese competitors are already offering.
