Apple Intelligence will support more languages in April

Apple introduced a set of artificial intelligence features called Apple Intelligence last September with the iPhone 16 series of smartphones. It uses AI capabilities to improve user interaction with devices, making them more intuitive and useful.

The problem was that the Apple Intelligence suite was not available in all countries and supported only English in most regions of the world. However, in April, Apple Intelligence will be supported in more than seven languages.

This news was announced by Apple CEO Tim Cook during a teleconference dedicated to the company’s record financial performance last quarter. Cook said the following:

«In April, we’re adding support for more languages to Apple Intelligence, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, as well as localized English for Singapore and India».

Although Cook mentioned eight languages during the talk, the Apple Intelligence support page also includes Vietnamese. Support for these languages will be provided in April via a software update.

Apple Intelligence is currently available in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa for Apple devices running iOS 18.2 or later, iPadOS 18.2 or later, and macOS Sequoia 15.2 or later.
