A new trailer for «Monkey», based on the short story by Stephen King, has been released. The film promises to be one of the most eerie movie projects of the next year.

The trailer shows a series of horrific accidental deaths. Viewers will see scenes with blood, fire and an electrified pool. «Everyone dies. This is life,” says one of the characters. However, these deaths have a supernatural cause, connected to a creepy toy monkey.
King’s original story tells the story of two brothers, Peter and Dennis, who find a toy monkey with plates in the attic that belonged to their father. This discovery sets off a chain of horrific deaths.
In the movie adaptation, the brothers are named Bill and Hall. According to the official synopsis, they try to get rid of the monkey and go their separate ways. However, when the mysterious deaths resume, the brothers are forced to unite to destroy the cursed toy forever.
The film is directed by Osgood Perkins, known for his work on «Weevil». He also adapted the screenplay (with Stephen King). The cast — Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Christian Convery, Colin O’Brien, Rogan Campbell, and Sarah Levy.
The film is produced by James Wan and his company Atomic Monster. The film will be released on February 20, 2025.
