OnePlus has introduced the OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro as the successors to the Ace 3 and Ace 3 Pro. The brand skipped the number 4 – it’s considered unlucky in China.
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro
The senior phone in the lineup is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which works in tandem with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The smartphone features a UFS 4.0 storage with a capacity of up to 1 TB and runs on ColorOS based on Android 15. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is equipped with a “dual double ice core VC” – a system that cools the chip from both below and above. The manufacturer claims that the Fengchi Gaming Core chip allows playing at a speed of 120 frames/sec at a resolution of 1080p.
The 8T LTPO AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.78″, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a resolution of 2780 × 1264 pixels is protected by Crystal Shield Glass. It has a peak brightness of 4500 nits and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The sensor works even when hands are wet or in gloves. The display is equipped with a fingerprint sensor and a 16 MP selfie camera.
On the back panel, there is a circular island with a main camera of 50 MP (Sony IMX906, OIS), an ultra-wide 8 MP (Sony IMX355) 120°), and a 2 MP macro. OnePlus Ace 5 Pro also features artificial intelligence functions that allow removing people from photos and shooting reflections.
The smartphone’s operation is supported by a battery of 6100 mAh with a charging power of 100 W. It also supports battery bypass, designed for gaming. Ace 5 Pro has stereo speakers, multifunctional NFC, infrared communication, IP65 protection, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and a gaming Wi-Fi G1 chip.
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is available in purple, black, and white colors, the latter being a special version with a ceramic coating. The smartphone has five memory options: 12 GB/256 GB ($465), 12 GB/512 GB ($550), 16 GB/256 GB ($505), 16 GB/512 GB ($575), and 16 GB/1 TB ($645). The special edition is available in versions 16 GB/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB and costs $14 more.
OnePlus Ace 5
The junior smartphone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It also differs in the absence of gaming Wi-Fi and a different cooling system. The battery of 6415 mAh supports a charging power of up to 80 W.
The Ace 5 model is available in titanium, light green, and black colors, the salad version has a ceramic coating. The phone also has five configurations 12 GB/256 GB ($315), 12 GB/512 GB ($385), 16 GB/256 GB ($340), 16 GB/512 GB ($340), and 16 GB/1 TB ($410). The ceramic model of OnePlus Ace 5 is also available only in versions 16 GB/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB, with the same price difference.
