The official presentation of the foldable smartphone Oppo Find N5 is expected to take place on February 20. The manufacturer itself has told us a bit about this device, and now the Chinese regulator TENAA has leaked detailed specifications of this model, which became known during the certification process.
The Oppo Find N5 smartphone with the model number PKH120 is equipped with a custom-made 7-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The diagonal of the folding screen is 8.12 inches, and the outer screen is 6.62 inches. Both panels have a larger diagonal than its predecessor Find N3.
Users will be offered several configurations of Oppo Find N5. They will include 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM, and the storage capacity will be 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB. Most likely, the device will not receive support for memory cards.
On the rear panel, the manufacturer has placed a triple camera. It includes two 50-megapixel sensors and one 8-megapixel module. If you look at the numbers alone, this may seem like a step backwards, because the Find N3 had a 48MP + 48MP + 64MP camera combination. However, it’s too early to draw conclusions without accurate data on sensor sizes and models.
The front cameras have also undergone changes: An 8-megapixel one is located on the outer screen and another 8-megapixel one in the folding display. This is also significantly smaller than the 32MP and 20MP sensors in the previous model.
The exact memory configurations and pricing of Oppo Find N5 will be revealed during the presentation.
As a reminder, Oppo calls this model the world’s thinnest book-style phone and has already showed photos that confirm this statement. In the global market, this smartphone will be released under the name OnePlus Open 2.
