Redmi Turbo 4 will be the first smartphone with the new MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor and will officially be introduced in early January. This chipset will bring an architecture with “big” CPU cores to the upper mid-range segment, which is quite an exciting breakthrough.
At the time of the announcement, MediaTek stated that the Dimensity 8400 processor includes Cortex-A725 cores with a clock speed of up to 3.25 GHz, and also provides a 41% improvement in multicore performance. Now, the first performance test results of this chip have emerged, allowing us to roughly gauge its capabilities.

Redmi Turbo 4 with the Dimensity 8400 processor showed a score of 1642 points in single-core mode and 6056 points in multi-core mode of the Geekbench 6.1.0 test (about 1400/4300 in Dimensity 8300). The configuration of the chip includes 8 cores on the Cortex-A725 architecture:
- One core at 3.25 GHz,
- Three cores at 3.0 GHz,
- Four cores at 2.1 GHz.
The Redmi Turbo 4 prototype that participated in the testing has 16 GB of RAM and runs on Android 15. The smartphone is expected to be available with other RAM options as well.
Interestingly, the Redmi Turbo 4 is rumored to be released internationally under the name Poco X7 Pro.
