The official presentation of the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra smartphone is still a few weeks away. However, the device is already fully ready and has been tested in Geekbench, which allowed us to reveal some of its characteristics.

The non-gaming flagship smartphone of Asus in 2025 is identified as ASUSAI2501H and has the marketing name Zenfone 12 Ultra. As you can see from the screenshot, this model scored 3036 points in single-core mode and 9656 points in multi-core testing mode. Both of these scores are generally in line with what you can expect from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which will undoubtedly power the Zenfone 12 Ultra.

The device that passed the test has 16 GB of RAM, but of course, other variants may be offered. As a reminder, the base model Zenfone 11 Ultra came with 12 GB of memory. The phone runs on Android 15.

Since the Zenfone 11 Ultra last year was essentially a ROG Phone 8 Pro without any gaming apps, the situation may be similar this time around, with the Zenfone 12 Ultra being a modification of the ROG Phone 9 Pro under a different name (and without any LEDs on the back).

So, if this is true, we should expect that the biggest upgrade over the Zenfone 11 Ultra, apart from the chipset, will be the 5800 mAh battery (300 mAh more).

Asus is expected to officially announce the Zenfone 12 Ultra on February 6.
