Xpeng AeroHT has announced that it will unveil its modular flying vehicle, called the Land Aircraft Carrier (LAC), at CES 2025 in Las Vegas in early January. This vehicle combines a large three-axle «mothership» with an extended range and a two-seat flying module.

.
Land Aircraft Carrier is the latest and most promising project of Xpeng AeroHT’s flying car division. In November 2024, an unmanned version of the flying module successfully made its first public flight at the Zhuhai Air Show. In December, the car was spotted during road tests, and Xpeng CEO He Xiaopeng himself tested it on the roads.
Land Aircraft Carrier characteristics
The main module is «Mothership» (Mothership):
- The large three-axle vehicle is 5.5 meters long, 2 meters wide and 2 meters high.
- Type: electric vehicle with an extended range (EREV).
- It is equipped with an internal combustion engine that acts as a generator to charge the battery and power the electric motors.
- Mixed range: up to 1,000 km.

Flying module:
- It can accommodate two passengers.
- It is equipped with two flight modes: manual and automatic.
- On a full charge, it supports 5-6 flights.
- The flying module can be charged from «the Mothership» thanks to a high-voltage system (800 V). It takes only 18 minutes to charge the battery from 30% to 80%.
The Land Aircraft Carrier will enter mass production in 2026 with an annual capacity of 10 thousand units. The estimated price of the vehicle will be 2 million yuan ($280 thousand). Despite the fact that the vehicle is still far from mass production, the company has already received more than 2 thousand orders, mostly from enterprises.
