The series «Alien: Earth» has received a series of short teasers that finally introduce us to the cast, and among other things — a cute red cat that resembles Jonesy from the 1979 film (Jonesy was the second creature to survive the ship, along with Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley).
The teaser, which was originally released in separate fifths (now assembled together), opens with the face of USCSS Maginot crewman Amir Butus, who is pointing a camera at the red cat. Subsequently, we are shown the events from the animal’s point of view and, among other things, — a computer that reads: «Priority one: retrieve and safely return all organisms for analysis, all other conditions secondary», as well as Karen Aldridge (ex-surgeon Lumon in the series «The Divide») testing organisms and «flora and fauna» in the laboratory; another character sleeping in a hypersleep chamber and finally the ship going into emergency mode.

The events of the series «Alien: Earth» takes place two years before the events of the original 1979 Ridley Scott film Alien». Based on previous teasers, the action will take place just before the spaceship lands on Earth and is discovered by a group of tactical soldiers.
«As the crew members search for survivors in the wreckage, they encounter mysterious predatory life forms — and what the team decides to do about this threat could change the Earth forever», — from the official synopsis.
In addition to the actors featured in the teaser, the series also stars Sidney Chandler, Alex Lauter, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blankin, Babu Sisi, David Risdahl, Adrian Edmondson, and others. The showrunner is Noah Hawley («Fargo»), and he previously announced that «Alien: Earth» represents «a new species of Xenomorph»— different from what viewers have seen in other films in the franchise.
The series «Alien: Earth» will debut on Hulu and Disney+ this summer.
