Visa has entered into a partnership with the Coinbase crypto exchange. This allowed the company to provide new services to users in the US and the EU. Through integration with the Visa Direct network, Coinbase customers will be able to quickly replenish their accounts in real time, make cryptocurrency purchases and withdraw funds to their bank accounts in real time using the corresponding Visa debit cards.
Integration with Visa Direct allows:
- Transfer funds to your Coinbase account in real time.
- Buy cryptocurrency on Coinbase directly with a debit card.
- Withdraw funds from Coinbase to a bank account.
The update concerns Coinbase’s Visa debit card, which was launched in October 2020. It allows users of the exchange to spend bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on everyday purchases or ATM withdrawals, making it easier to convert cryptocurrency into cash (fiat) when needed.
Over the past few years, Visa has entered into partnerships with various crypto firms, including Transak, Crypto.com, Circle, and Solana.
